Today was a crazy day. I’m so glad it’s over. I’m too tired to take another step. It all started while I was hunting a fat white rabbit. I had been following it everywhere thinking it would make a nice meal. But suddenly it vanished. Quickly looking around I spotted it going into the mines. Now normally I would have let it go but I really had to have that rabbit.
I quickly followed it into the mines. My half-elf hearing guiding me (I couldn’t see very well and wanted to save my torch for a more important time) I followed the rabbit into a room. It was well lit and I was stunned for a second by the blinding light. Luckily I was still hidden in the tunnel or I would have been caught. After my eyes adjusted to the light I quietly slipped behind a pile of boxes and slowly crawled along. Being careful not to make any noise.
I made it out of the room just as the white rabbit was hopping down another long dark tunnel. I quickly followed. After what seemed like hours of walking I found myself in another room. What was in that room made me scream.
I saw a few zombies sourrounding the rabbit. They were ripping it to pieces. Rats were scuttling around. Taking the pieces of flesh the zombies had dropped. The sight made me sick. Quickly I shot an arrow into the head of the nearest zombie. And yelled “Gotcha.” And using my sword I chopped the heads of the others. Once they were dead I bent over to examine the rabbit. The poor little thing was sill alive. Using an arrow pulled out of a zombie’s head, I ended its suffering.
I stood up to leave. No use staying here when the rabbit was dead. But then I heard a low moan. It was coming from down the mine tunnel. I had to see what that was. So I quickly and quietly crept down the tunnel. I saw some shapes that looked like humans. Thinking someone was in trouble, I ran as fast as I could into the room. But what was there was not humans. It was more zombies.
I whipped out my sword and started batteling. What happened next is kinda fuzzy in my memory but I soon found myself shooting an arrow through the last zombie’s head. I looked around and saw that I was sorrounded by a strange looking group.
The only thing I could think to do was introduce myself so I did. And I listened as everyone introduced themselves. The group told me they were looking for the cause of a disease that was affecting a village. I decided to join them.
We went further into the mines. It was growing hotter every second. We stopped and sent The thief ahead to look around. He came back and described what he saw. A room with water and there was a pillar with glyphs on it. We went down the tunnel and entered the room. I instantly felt uneasy.
Suddenly a wierd creature came out of the ground. Everyone tried to kill it. Marcus tried to throw something at it but he missed. As he was groaning in frustration I pulled out my bow and without thinking I shot an arrow right through where his arm made a space as it touched his head. I wounded the beast badly. And eventually someone killed it.
All through the battle there was a wizard orc thing trying to stop us. He managed to freeze the barbarian. And when she was unfrozen a large black cloud covered everyone but Marcus and me. Marcus managed to hurt him enough that he was distracted. Reacting quickly I shot an arrow at the back of his head. It shot him through the back of the neck and came out of his mouth. He dropped to the floor. Dead
The cloud of black disapeared and everyone gathered around the dead body. We searched it for anything useful and everyong got something. I got a lot of gold and a little fly. You say a magic word and it grows to the size of a small pony. It can fly for up to twelve hours. And you can use it ip to three times a week.
We left the mines and went to go back to the village. I felt uneasy and decided to go check the scene and before anyone could move I had disappeared. I witnessed a conversation between a soldier and the mayor of the town and discovered that an army was after my companions and me.
I rushed back to where my friends were and told them what had happened. We came to the agreement to leave quickly. Using my fly, I eventually got everyone to a safe cave. We rested for an hour or two and then we moved higher into the mountains. We eventually made it to a small clearing in the forest. We are near a church of some kind. We plan to investigate the building in the morning.
